In terms of build and design, the GoPro Hero 8 looks way similar to that of its predecessor Hero 7. But there are a few changes that let the newer version stand out. With the previous models, though they have been waterproof up to 33 feet, they still needed to be put in a plastic frame in order to attach them to an external mount. GoPro now came up with built-in folding fingers using which one can mount the camera without the need for an external case.
It also removed its replaceable lens cap mechanism to slimmer the device further and merged it with the hood, technically disabling you from changing the lens cover. Most vlogging cameras these days have the provision for connecting an external microphone for better audio recording experience. However, there are some cameras that miss out on this feature. In such a case, make sure that the internal mic on the camera is efficient enough to give you the results you expect.
Connectivity Options –
Connectivity is another thing to consider when it comes to vlogging cameras. Almost every vlogging camera these days comes with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and NFC technologies built-in.
